Are Twenty One Pilots ending their hiatus?
If you’re a Twenty One Pilots fan, chances are you’ve gotten wrapped up in the crazy that has become of these cryptic teasers.
Cryptic emails and secret websites have left fans scrambling for information as Tyler Joseph and Joshua Dun drop tiny hints everywhere.
Here’s what’s going on:
July 6, 2017: Twenty One Pilots begin their hiatus, posting a series of photos of lyrics/an eye slowly closing. The last tweets read “NOW I JUST SIT IN SILENCE” “YOU’LL HAVE TO COME AND FIND ME.”
July 17, 2018: Twenty One Pilots win the award for the most dedicated fanbase at the APMAs. Josh accepts the award. During his speech, he says that Tyler is “off severing ties with DMA (or DEMA).”
April 21, 2018: A website link appeared at the end of a .gif on the TOP website, at the end of Car Radio. Typing in the link takes you to dmaorg.info. Clues continue to be added to this website.
Posted is Clancy’s journal. Who is Clancy?
May 9, 2018: A letter from Clancy appears on the website. The letters missing from the message spell out “YOU ARE STILL SLEEPING.
May 30, 2018: A gif of a cheetah is uploaded. Two message are displayed in a string of single letters flashing above the cheetah. The full massage is “UNSTILLIDONTCKNOWOHISNREALINAMECDOOU.” The two messages are “U STILL DON’T KNOW HIS REAL NAME DO U” and “NICO NICO”
July 1, 2018: Another update from Clancy. File name “e_sreve_r.jpg” (reverse).

July 6, 2018: Twenty One Pilots mailing list recipients woke up to an email with an opening eye with the subject “ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING?”. This is the same eye that was pictured closing as the hiatus began.
July 9, 2018: Billboards begin to shop up in major cities around the world. The new logo is all they contain.
