Sylvan Esso is an American electronic pop duo out of Durham, North Carolina. Amelia Meath (vocals) and Nick Sanborn (instrumentals), who are now married, have been making music together since 2013. Their second album What Now was nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Dance/Electronic Album” category.

If you find the band on Spotify, they put it pretty plainly. “We make pop songs about complicated feelings,” the page says. It’s not too far off. Meaningful lyrics, sometimes deep come through catchy phrases and beats you can’t help but dance to. Sylvan Esso is constantly on the rise. Keep your eyes on Sylvan Esso.
