OUT NOW: Year of Self – Talk Time’s Debut Single
There isn’t a better word for this song than “summer.” It’s cool, smooth, and makes you want to sit back with some friends and a drink. (I’m talkin’ about all-age beverages, baby.) Real talk: this hit is the foundation of next week’s ‘vibe with us.’
The feeling you get from late-night conversations with friends has been captured and condensed into 3 minutes and forty-seven seconds. Like the familiar feeling you can’t get enough of, this song begs to be played time and time again until you’re humming it’s rolling melody.
“’Year of Self’ is a celebration & mantra for the unique thinkers with courage to live outside the box, and an ode to the astronomer Galileo,” the band explains.
Built from scratch in a Lincoln Heights warehouse in East L.A., Talk Time threw their love for catchy, but experimental pop music into a pan, threw it in the oven, and out popped a bop. Before the song baked to a perfect golden-brown, producer/engineer Math Bishop stepped in and worked his musical magic. (You may know Bishop from songs from artists like Jacknife Lee, U2, Two Door Cinema Club, One Direction, The Killers, and Silversun Pickups.) More of Talk Time’s music, co-engineered by Bishop, is set for release this year!
If you’re in the L.A. area, you need to stop by The Bootleg Theater on Sunday, June 24 for Talk Time’s Single Release show! Otherwise, fans can expect more new music from Talk Time in the coming months.
