We’re starting a new feature at downinthep.it. We’d like to take the time to appreciate and spotlight some our good, great, and amazing artists. To set the tone, we’d like to introduce an artist that’s made his way up into our favorites (and quick). Meet Shakey Graves.
Alejandro Rose-Garcia, 28-year-old Texas singer/songwriter, has been catching the attention of just the right people, making fans almost immediately. As a talented musician, he has a wonderful blend of folk, alternative rock, and blues. From a very young age, Shakey has always been to creating things and found his interest in music. Shakey brings a contagious energy to every one of his shows with his unique one-man-band approach. Occasionally, you’ll find him touring with his drummer, Bo and collaborating with Esme Patterson.
On his trip across the US, you can find him at his stop in Boise on May 29 at the Knitting Factory. We’re looking forward to seeing Shakey Graves during his time here in Idaho! His show is one that we’ve marked on our lists several times; we don’t want to miss it.
FUN FACT: Shakey Graves, Alejandro’s stage name, was supposedly created on a camping trip by his friends as a “campfire Indian guide name.”
We will definitely be making a trip to the Knitting Factory to go see this show. Will we see you there? You can catch Shakey Graves at the Knitting Factory in Boise on May 29! Doors are at 8:00 and you can grab tickets for $21.00 – Get Tickets
Boise is just one stop on Shakey Graves’s tour! You can catch him anywhere along the way, he will be playing various festivals and more! Tickets and dates are available at shakeygraves.com. Go support Shakey Graves, you won’t be disappointed!
